The
Souper Bowl of Caring is a national charity effort encouraging communities to collect non-perishable food for local shelters and food banks in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. Our sixth grade community service leadership club,
Hootie's Helpers, coordinated the Lawrence Intermediate School participation in this worthwhile cause.

This year, thanks to the generosity of our LIS families, we were able to donate 239 food items and 223 lbs. of food to
HomeFront. Thanks to Hootie's Helpers for organizing this community service effort, and thank you to everyone who donated.
