Successful Book Drive for HomeFront!

Emma (Ms. Steiner's class) came up with the idea to do a book drive for HomeFront. Students and staff were asked to donate new or gently used books for children aged 3-12. Books were collected from mid-January through February 10. HomeFront was thrilled to receive LIS's donation of 600-700 books, just in time for Valentine's Day! Thanks to all who donated!

For the fourth year in a row, LIS students participated in our "Souper" Bowl of Caring. They brought in cans of food for HomeFront and paper towels for the Mercer County Wildlife Center. We collected 350 items. The fourth grade brought in the most (by a landslide)! Thanks to all who donated.

Author Skype

Mrs. Koellner's 4th grade class worked on a "my favorite author" PowerPoint project in the technology lab. Jenna's favorite author is Gitty Daneshvari, who agreed to Skype with the class. All the students enjoyed asking questions and hearing about what it's like to be an author.
